MALCOLM L. PETTEGROW, INC. is located in the quiet Maine seacoast town of Southwest Harbor, where boats and the sea are a way of life. Mac and Alice Pettegrow started the business in 1978 to provide fine custom built boats and extraordinary service to a marketplace which was dominated by mass-produced products, and which sadly lacked sufficient service oriented companies to maintain them. Over the years, Pettegrow boats have developed a reputation for being carefully built, strong, seaworthy craft which are beautiful to behold. They provide their owners with a great sense of pride as they enter any harbor. The summer of 2001 saw the debut of the new Pettegrow 30 (MLP30). The many years of collaboration between Spencer Lincoln and Mac Pettegrow has produced a fast, dry, and seaworthy hull with great accomodation space that is ahead of any boat in its class (see Brokerage Page).
